- On the Mount of Transfiguration, the glory of Jesus is revealed (Mt.17:2) and Peter, James and John get to hear a short conversation about Jesus’ impending death and resurrection that would take place in Jerusalem (Luke 9:29-31).
- John recounts those moments; “We have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). “The life was manifested, and we have seen it and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life…that you may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:2-3).
- Peter says, “We were eye-witnesses of His majesty” and “we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with Him on the holy mountain” (2 Peter 1:16, 18).
