This is all preparatory to the strategy that God developed in Paul. He reminds us in his first letter where and how he received the gospel. “For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man’s gospel. For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.” (Galatians 1:11–12). As noted yesterday, this becomes the foundation for all of Paul’s ministry. No human education or method was part of his development and preparation for ministry.
A reminder of Saul’s/Paul’s beginnings helps us realize that his strategy had divine origins and therefore has authority for us today. For those of you who question whether PAUL’S MISSIONARY STRATEGY will work today, I ask you; why was his ministry so successful? Has God changed His word or ways and the gospel to accommodate man’s changing whims or culture? We have the same message in the gospel and the same Holy Spirit as Paul did. If there is any change, it is in us. We have moved away from the foundation. We must REPENT, RETURN and REBUILD on the right foundation.
