(Romans 5:10). If you ask, ‘what makes us enemies of God?’ Sin has separated us from God. “Therefore, the Lord God sent him (Adam) out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life.” (Genesis 3:23–24).

Go back up to the quote from Romans 5:10 and read that verse again. The second part of the verse reads, “now that we are reconciled (to God), shall we be saved by His life.” For those who are saved by the life of Jesus, “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God” (Romans 8:16). Jesus told his disciples who believed in Him, “No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you” “We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. Therefore, we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring” (2 Thessalonians 1:3–4).

Notice that Paul does not immediately rebuke them for listening to wrong teaching but encourages them first in things they were doing that was right. REMEMBER this principle;
