I want to follow-up yesterday’s blog with words that Jesus left His disciples. “I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”” (John 16:33). Notice that Jesus does not say, ‘In the world you will have peace’. Earlier in these closing hours with the disciples before His crucifixion, He said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” (John 14:27). Please ponder these points carefully and apply them to yourself and where you are in this world:
“Be still, my soul! The Lord is on thy side;
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain,
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain.
