There is no doubt in my mind that all problems Christians and the church face could be resolved by asking one question; Is the glory of God being put first? I fully agree with the statement made by A. W. Tozer, “Always and always, God must be first. The gospel in its scriptural context puts the glory of God first.”
Paul makes this point twice in Ephesians 1; “so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of His glory.” And the Holy Spirit “is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1:12, 14). That is the whole purpose of the believer.
So much of our lives are wasted, resources are thrown to much lesser goals, and we struggle because this question is not asked and therefore never answered. God will never fail to reward those who put Him first. Start now, asking this of everything you do and see how it changes what you do, and how and when things are done.
