The depth of passion in Paul’s words need careful consideration. Let me quote the two verses in 1 Corinthians 9:22-23 to get the context; “To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.”
Notice that Paul was not saying all would be saved, but for those that God sovereignly elected, Paul was willing to “become all things to all people that by all means I might save some”! What Paul gave up, what he suffered, and what he expended was all toward this one end. Even his focus on strengthening churches that he and Barnabas planted was so they would do the same thing, “all for the sake of the gospel!
Is God causing your passion for the unsaved, the unreached, to grow and shape where you put your energy and resources? We are finding that there are persons, like Paul, in other countries who have followed this example. They have no concern for money or church products from the West! All they want is to RETURN TO SCRIPTURE and Paul’s passionate attitude so they can become as effective as possible in spreading the gospel to the unreached. This will bring the greatest glory to God through their salvation.
